Hey All. It’s been a while since my last post, sorry about that… again. Our family has been enjoying some much needed summer vacation. It’s nice to not have anything to do, but we (Heather and I) miss having a schedule. A lot of our close friends are in the States right now or are in other parts of China. This leaves us with a lot of free time and no one to spend it with. Also, it is incredibly hot outside which makes it difficult to take the girls anywhere. Enough of me being positive. We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of my mom, which is now down to only 2 ½ weeks.
Not only will it be an amazing time for us to see her, it will also be fun to see China again through the eyes of someone who doesn’t live here. We’re also hoping we’ll get to show off our Chinese a bit. Along those same lines Sydney’s Chinese lately has been getting better and better. It surprises me whenever she says something I didn’t know she knew. She seems to be getting really interested in it these days and is speaking more and more. As we mentioned before Aubrey has been walking, but she now has started climbing up on couches and climbing down from them. Her (Aubrey) speech is also getting better; she will not only say a few words here and there, but also repeat some words we say. Her interview at KFC is next week so I will keep you posted on if she gets the job.
