Update on Heather’s pregnancy and HONG KONG here we come

This week Heather had another opportunity to go have an ultrasound. The hospital she went to the second time wasn’t very nice, but that wasn’t as important as the good news that everything’s going the way it should be. In regards to the hospital Heather told me when she got to the ultrasound area that there was a room crowded with pregnant women waiting to their turn and that they would just have you lay down right there with no privacy and get checked. And the doctor that helped Heather wasn’t very kind, to put it bluntly, she was rude. She just rushed Heather through without even letting her take a moment to hear the heart beat and what not. But for the equivalent of one dollar (the cost of her visit) I guess you can’t expect much.

In other pregnancy news it’s been a pretty tough so far, which is par for the course for us. Heather has a difficult time finding food that won’t make her throw up, as well as missing the States and family there. But she’s officially through her first trimester, way to go Heather! She will be 15 weeks this coming Sun. We are both very excited to be able to finish the pregnancy at home with family.


Speaking of family we will be heading out this Thursday to see my Stepdad Ron in to Hong Kong! (Ron will be passing through HK on business.) We have not seen him for a year and a half now, which is way too long! We’re really excited to get to see him and have the girls spend time with their Grandpa. Sydney has been extremely excited leading up to the event. I think we’re averaging 50-70 times a day where she asks “Can we go see Grandpa now?” (or some slight variation). We will arrive in the afternoon and get setup in our hotel room and late that night Ron will arrive, I’m hoping that I can meet him at the airport.
