The purpose of the book will be to tell the story of Lily joining our family and how it's been. I want to include stuff on orphans, adoption, foster care, HIV and other things Heather and I learned through the whole process.
Needless to say, I’m excited. But I can’t do it without you. So I want to ask you a simple question to help me write this book.
What would you like to read about?
I have my ideas, but I want to hear more about what you want, because I'm writing this book for you (ok, and I'm writing it for our family.)

P.S. I won’t finish it for a while, but I’m hoping in the fall to have it done.
I would love to hear about how the Chinese people feel about orphans, being a biracial family in China, and the current needs in China orphanages.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea! Thats what John and I (Foster Parent Rescue) are working towards as well! I would want to know everything... her back story, what society influences caused her conditions (so to speak, forgive me for that kind of icky way of putting it) any background on how HIV is looked at by the culture there, as well as the usual day to day "how does it work to live and foster in a foreign country" stuff. I can't wait to read it! She looks adorable
