My Birthday and Card Project Update

Hello. How are you? I hope you’re day was fun and filled with laughter. It was my birthday today, I turned 27, and it was an amazing day.

Moving to China for two years does some things to you. I find myself more and more aware of how lucky I am and how I’m so incredibly blessed by the friends and family around me. Being away from the States for so long has helped me to appreciate this more. But since I am the ripe age of 27, maybe it’s just my old age (and wisdom!) that is helping me see this. To all of you who support Heather and I through your love and prayers, thank you.

My birthday was a great treat. I found out that I like guacamole, who knew? For 26 years I avoided it like the plague and then today I had some, and really enjoyed it. I also saw a kid at the park today with a rat tail, can life get any sweeter? Again, thank you to all of you who sent me “Happy Birthday” wishes!

I also wanted to briefly update you all on how our Card Project is going. As you may recall, we’re selling cards to help raise money for orphans in China. Well, in the past two weeks we had our first sale to a wonderful friend of ours all the way over in Holland. I was so touched I wrote an article of interesting facts about Holland that you can read by clicking here. After that, we made a few more sales and currently we’ve sold 55 cards! We’re stoked and look forward to selling more. Let me know if you are in need of any.

We head back to South Dakota tomorrow. It will be sad to say good bye to our family and friends here in Minnesota, but we will be back. We hope all of you are well.

Till next time,
The petersons

  2. I'm glad they're all true, I would hate to have false interesting facts about Holland on my website.
